STA LEVEL 2 SWIMMING TEACHER TRAINING

Are you looking to start a new rewarding career? Then why not begin your swimming teaching career with STA’s recognised qualification. Our training will help you to develop the skills and confidence to independently teach safe, high-quality and inclusive swimming lessons to both children and adults, from beginners through to advanced abilities.

The training covers the 4 core strokes, aquatic skills, water safety, survival and rescue techniques, with a strong focus on practical, work-ready experience. You will gain hands-on poolside teaching time throughout the course, ensuring you are fully prepared to deliver engaging lessons and support swimmers’ progression from day one.

This course includes both theory and practical elements, tutor-assessed planning, observed lessons, and a multiple-choice exam.

There is also an element of online learning totalling 20 hours that must be completed in your own time prior to the first day of your course starting. No prior experience is needed, but learners must be 16+.

Completing this course will earn you 10 CIMSPA Points.
