RLSS AQUATIC THERAPY POOL Rescue Award (ATPRA)

The ATPRA is a pool supervision and rescue award for aquatic therapists and support workers working during programmed activities. It is suitable for those working in a variety of pools, including where the water is deeper than your standing depth.

This qualification is endorsed by the Aquatic Therapy Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (ATACP). 

Candidates must be over 16 years old and be able to:

• Regain their footing from a face-down and face-up floating position
• Surface dive to the deepest part of the pool
• Climb out without help and without using steps or ladders (where venue design permits)
• 
  

All candidates must complete minimum guided learning hours and successfully complete the course assessment

The ATPRA course is 12 hours plus assessment and is deliverable in two days.
