RLSS National Rescue Award for Teachers and Coaches (NRASTC)

NRASTC is a 12 hour course, including assessment time and requires 100% attendance. supervision and rescue award for swimming teachers, coaches and/or instructors working during programmed activities, such as swimming lessons. It is suitable for teachers working in a wide range of swimming pools.  

Candidates must be over 16 years old and be able to:.

• Swim a minimum of 50 metres on your front and back
• Surface dive to the deepest part of the pool
• Climb out unaided without using steps or ladders (where venue design permits).

19th - 21st January 2027 (Renewal only option - 21st January)

The first two mornings will be completed online via Zoom call to cover the theory elements , with the final full day face to face covering all practical elements of the course including the assessment.
